GOVERNORS/ LLYWODRAETHWYR
Governors have a responsibility for the effective management of the school, acting within the framework set by Government legislation and the policies of the Local Education Authority. The role of the Governing Body is to act as a critical friend to the school and its management team. The Governing Body aims to support the school with its strategic vision, including curriculum and financial management.
The Governors produce an annual report to parents, which can be discussed along with other matters at an annual parents’ meeting. You will be sent a copy of the report via your child and given good notice of the meeting, which is held in the Autumn term of each year.
The school governors do their work voluntarily and put in a great deal of time to ensure the school is managed efficiently and to the benefit of the children.
If you would like to approach the Governing Body regarding any issues or information, you can do so by contacting:
Mr. Ashley Bennett - Headteacher
Councillor Stephen Price - Chair of Governors.
Please note that individual governors do not have the authority to act alone or represent the school with their own opinion. Any Governor who is approached with a query has a duty of responsibility to signpost individuals to the school in the first instance or the Chair of Governors. Here, a meeting can be arranged accordingly and in line with the Governance Code of Conduct.
